The Zamfara State Police Command has said that it would follow the federal and state government’s policies and programs on the issue of coronavirus, saying that public gatherings and schools attendance remain banned in the state until further notice.


This was made known during a press conference organized by the state Commissioner of Police, Barrister Usman Nagogo.
Nagogo maintained that the move was not to hurt anybody or persons but straightens and ensure perfect security network in the state for the health benefit of all.
“I have ensured that all the sister security agents would carry out these operations to avoid any form of failure in the system.”

According to him, “All Area Commanders have been instructed to carryout this important national assignment for the safety of innocent citizens of the state,” he said.
The commissioner, however, warned that he was not ready to tolerate any kind of failure from his subordinates, pointing out that he has been working with the press since he resumed as the state commissioner of police, stressing that he has not got any kind of misreporting from his newsmen in the state.
” How I pray that we would be working harmoniously with the press in this state to achieve our aim and objectives in the system,” he noted.
Nagogo, therefore, urged all the citizens to endeavor as a matter of necessity to help the security agents with useful information to serve the citizens of the state very better, saying that the police still remains a public trust.
