EKSU Announces Two-Week Suspension of Academic Activities

Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, EKSU has announced a two-week suspension of academic activities on campus effective 11th April 2023.

The decision was made by the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun, on behalf of the university Senate. In light of this announcement, students, parents, and guardians should be aware of the following critical information.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, all academic activities on campus are suspended for a period of two weeks. The suspension is effective immediately, beginning on the 11th of April, 2023.

All students of Ekiti State University are required to leave the campus premises at once. No students should be seen within the campus premises for the entire two-week suspension period. This measure has been implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to invite their wards home immediately. As students have been ordered to vacate the campus, it is crucial for parents and guardians to ensure their children are safely off the premises and accounted for during this time.

Any student found wandering around the university premises during the suspension period does so at his/her own risk. The university will not be held responsible for any incidents that may occur during this time.
