Exceptional 8-Year-Old Girl Becomes a Neuroscientist, Launches Online School

Cursory: Amoy Antunet, an 8-year-old self-taught neuroscientist, has gained recognition for conducting science experiments in her bedroom and teaching science online. Amoy aims to help people understand science, especially in the fields of neurosurgery and the treatment of heart and brain diseases. Her explainer videos have gained millions of views, and she has been invited to speak at prestigious events and interviewed by major media outlets. Amoy encourages students to pursue their passions and believes in the importance of personal growth and fulfillment.

Amoy Antunet, an extraordinary 8-year-old girl, has developed into a neuroscientist through conducting practical science experiments in her bedroom. In addition to her scientific pursuits, she has established an online school where she educates millions of people worldwide about science.

As her passion and dedication grew, Antunet took the initiative to create a personal laboratory in her bedroom, equipped with a collection of self-made test tubes, replica organs, microscopes, and chemicals.

Recognizing her potential, her father decided it was time to showcase Antunet’s remarkable achievements to the world despite her young age.

“At first I thought it was cute but then I started seeing how she really grasped some of it. It’s one of the things she does for playtime now, she will put on a lab coat and run to the lab and do all the stuff she wants,’’ he said.

At the age of five, Antunet and her father began sharing their experiences and providing educational lessons through the internet, utilizing their mini laboratory. They conducted experiments, explained fundamental scientific concepts, and delved into intriguing subjects such as cell division, the functioning of the heart, and the complexities of the brain.

Dressed in white lab coats, they aimed to assist their audience in comprehending various branches of science. Antunet expressed her motivation for creating these videos, stating her desire to foster understanding of diverse scientific disciplines.

Additionally, she aspires to become a neurosurgeon in order to contribute to the well-being of individuals affected by heart and brain ailments.

“When I was a little girl I said I wanted to be a pharmacist but now I want to be a neurosurgeon who helps people with neurological disorders. So far I’ve mostly learnt about the heart and the brain and I want to learn about Multiple Sclerosis in the future so I can help sick people like my aunt, who has it,” she said.

Now, Antunet’s explainer videos has gained a lot of traffic, especially on her Facebook page ‘’Science For Children with Amoy Antunet’’ have over a million views with not just children as their audience.

Apart from being a neuroscientist, Antunet also enjoys solving mathematics problems and doing gymnastics. “If you scratch out the science stuff, I’m actually pretty normal,” she said.

Antunet’s extraordinary abilities have garnered widespread acclaim, not only within her country but also internationally. She was recently extended an invitation to deliver a speech at the Neuroscience Lab of the University of Alabama.

Major media outlets such as CNN, BBC, and others in the United States have interviewed her, recognizing her exceptional achievements.

Additionally, she had the privilege of being a keynote speaker at a Youth Innovation Summit, an event dedicated to fostering students’ interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programs. In her speeches, Antunet encourages students to embrace their potential and pursue their passions wholeheartedly.

“They should act on their potential, and if there’s something that you really like you should act on it,’’ she said.
