A First-Class graduate reached out to her father after 17 years of abandonment, only to be heartbroken when he dismissed her call and blocked her, but she remains determined to succeed and prove her worth.


A young Nigerian woman, who graduated with First-Class honors in Mass Communication, was left heartbroken after finally reaching out to her biological father, who abandoned her for 17 years, only to receive a cold response.
Identified on TikTok as @theprettyayo_, she shared her emotional experience, revealing that she had mustered the courage to call him, only for him to hiss, hang up, and block her before she could even finish greeting him.
Determined to express her feelings, she later sent him a message via WhatsApp, but it remained unread. In her pain, she vowed to achieve great success and prayed that he would never experience the same dismissive treatment he gave her.
Posting her story online with “heavy tears in my eyes,” she expressed how deeply his rejection affected her, but she remained hopeful about her future. She declared that she would one day move to America and become a person of great influence.
