A Nigerian woman identified as Obot Ifiokobong Patrick, has celebrated her remarkable achievement after earning a first class in nursing from a UK university, four years after losing her admission to study the same course at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
A Nigerian woman, Obot Ifiokobong Patrick, has celebrated her remarkable achievement of earning a nursing degree from a UK university, four years after losing her admission to study the same course at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
Taking to TikTok, Ifiokobong shared her inspiring journey of perseverance.
She initially secured direct entry admission to study nursing at UNN in November 2019 and started her program in 2020.
However, due to over-admission issues that the university couldn’t resolve, her department was changed, and she lost her place in the nursing program.
Determined not to give up on her dream, Ifiokobong applied to the University of Derby in the UK, passed the necessary exams, and was accepted into their nursing program.
She successfully completed her studies in May 2024, earning her degree.
Her story has garnered numerous reactions and congratulations online.
