Cursory: A Nigerian medical doctor who relocated to the UK to pursue further studies in public health discovered she needed to register as a doctor in the UK before practicing. This required passing the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB 1) test, mandatory for foreign-trained medical professionals seeking to practice in the country. In the interim, as a student with financial responsibilities, she took on a part-time role as a support worker to cover her expenses.

A Nigerian medical doctor who relocated to the UK to further her studies and career aspirations, Dr. Cho, as known on TikTok with the handle @_drcho, shared her inspiring journey in a recent video, shedding light on the challenges she faced and the decisions she made along the way.

Upon her arrival in the UK to pursue a master’s degree in public health, Dr. Cho encountered a significant hurdle – she needed to be registered as a doctor in the UK before she could practice medicine.
