FUOYE Lecturer Amused After Finding Love Letter in Student’s Exam Script

A FUOYE lecturer went viral after playfully sharing a student’s love letter found in an exam script, earning praise for his humorous and composed reaction.

A lecturer at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), popularly known on TikTok as Dr Steeze, has captured the internet’s attention after uncovering a love letter hidden inside a student’s exam script. The video, which he posted on his TikTok page, quickly went viral, sparking laughter and conversation across social media.

While marking the exam papers, Dr Steeze came across a curious message scrawled at the top of one script: “Please don’t ignore sir.” Intrigued, he continued reading what turned out to be a bold and emotional confession from an anonymous admirer. The note read in part:
“I know you will be shocked by this sir… I really wish I could be with you.”

Rather than reacting sternly, the lecturer handled the situation with humor and grace. In the accompanying TikTok video, he could be seen chuckling while reading the note aloud. He captioned the video:
“Make sure you don’t pause the video ooo 😜 I never knew I had many crushes, I think I should start making preparations to call @Femilevite (IdanOluwa).”

Dr Steeze, who has become known for his engaging content and rapport with students, also asked viewers whether he should respond to the student’s advances, further adding to the light-hearted tone of the moment.

The clip resonated with many online users, who praised the lecturer for not only keeping his cool but also for finding a way to turn a potentially awkward moment into a relatable and entertaining story. Some commenters joked about students “shooting their shot” during exams, while others admired Dr Steeze for his playful but respectful handling of the situation.

As the video continues to circulate, it serves as yet another example of how educators today are navigating unexpected interactions with Gen Z students—sometimes with surprising results.
