The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has gifted N10 million to Olaniyi Olawale, the overall best graduating student of Lagos State University (LASU).


Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has granted N10 million to Olaniyi Olawale, the top graduate of Lagos State University (LASU). The announcement was made on Thursday during the university’s 27th convocation ceremony in Lagos.
Jubril Gawat, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, shared the news on Twitter. Olawale, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.98 in Accounting Education, received the reward in recognition of his exceptional academic performance.
Gawat tweeted, “FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr. #jidesanwoolu has announced a token of N10m for the overall best graduating student of Lagos State University (#LASUOfficial), Olaniyi Mubaraq Olawale, Accounting Education, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.98.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu made this announcement during the grand finale of LASU’s 27th convocation ceremony.
