Praise Akinlami, who recently graduated from a Nigerian university, shared a sad story on TikTok about his final year project. In a video, he told how his friend discovered copies of his important project thrown away in the garbage.

Praise said this wasn’t just a problem in his university; it happened in many other Nigerian universities too. He explained that he had spent a lot of time, money, and hard work on this project. He had actually started planning it back in his first year at the university.

This experience left him very upset. He felt like all his effort had been wasted because his project, which was supposed to be a significant part of his education, ended up in the trash. Praise even suggested that undergraduate projects in Nigerian universities might not be as important as they should be, considering how they were treated.
