Are you among those who want to know how to calculate the University of Jos (UNIJOS) Aggregate Score? Then this is just the page you’re looking for because we will show you how to calculate it.

Before we show you how to calculate the University of Jos (UNIJOS) Aggregate Score, let’s explain what the aggregate score is all about.
What is UNIJOS Aggregate Score?
In simple words, this is the final score that will determine your chances of gaining admission into the school. Each department has its own minimum aggregate score.
Bear in mind: UNIJOS gives JAMB Score 60%. While your O’level result has 40%.
The highest point you can get in your O’level is 40 points. That is;
- A1 = 8
- B2 = 7
- B3 = 6
- C4 = 5
- C5 = 4
So if you have A1 in all your five O’level subjects, then your aggregate score will be 40 points.
Also, the highest point you can get from your JAMB score is 60 points. Say you scored 280 in JAMB, your jamb aggregate score will be (280/400) * 60 = 42.
Now that you know the above, let’s calculate your aggregate score;
How to Calculate UNIJOS Aggregate Score
- Step 1: Get your O’level Point. To do this, add up your O’level grades. If you have 3 A’s and 2 B’s, your O’level point will be 38
- Step 2: Get your JAMB point. If you score 240 in JAMB, then your jamb point will be 240/400 * 60 = 36
- Step 3: Add up your O’level and jamb point. With the above, your final aggregate score will be 38 + 36 = 74%
That is the final score that will be used for admission.
That’s why when you check the UNIJOS departmental cut-off mark, what you will see as a cut-off mark for a course will be 80%, 70%, 50%, etc.
We tried as much as we could to make the above information very simple. But if you’re not still clear, don’t worry. Feel free to ask us your questions using the comment box below. We are here for you.
