Christopher Asor, a 23-year-old Computer Science graduate from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), has shared his inspiring story of perseverance and academic excellence. Born and raised in Imo State, Christopher is the first of five children and credits his parents for instilling values like time management, multitasking, and resourcefulness, which helped him throughout his academic journey.
Growing up, Christopher’s parents emphasized the importance of making the most of university life, and he made a conscious decision to prioritize his studies. He attributes his success to his strict study schedule, waking up daily from 3 am to 6 am for deep reading, and seeking guidance from senior colleagues and mentors. Christopher’s achievements include serving as class representative and ISEC secretary, and receiving an award as the best course representative.
Despite facing challenges, including the loss of his father in 2021, Christopher maintained an outstanding GPA, graduating with a 4.7 CGPA. He advises aspiring students to stay focused, disciplined, and intentional about their goals, and to prioritize academics over distractions. Christopher plans to apply his skills to solve problems and create valuable products, and to solidify his skills in design, product development, and content creation.
