JAMB Candidate Goes Viral After Removing Tinted Hair Ahead of Exam

A 2026 JAMB candidate sparked reactions online after removing her tinted hair to avoid possible issues with exam rules and ensure she could sit for her test without complications.

A 2026 JAMB candidate has gone viral after revealing why she decided to remove her tinted hair ahead of her examination.

The young lady, identified as @wbraider on TikTok, shared that her decision was influenced by the strict guidelines set for the exam. According to her, she is scheduled to sit for the test by 6:30 a.m. on the very first day, and she didn’t want to risk any issues that could prevent her from being allowed into the exam hall.

In a video that has since gained attention online, she appeared with her hair loosened, expressing frustration and describing JAMB as unpredictable. She explained that she chose to comply fully with the rules rather than face the possibility of pleading with officials to let her write the exam.

She also used the moment to wish fellow candidates success, noting that it’s better to be safe than sorry when dealing with such a crucial examination.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is scheduled to conduct the 2026 exams from April 16 to April 25.

The video sparked mixed reactions from social media users. Some candidates admitted they might have to change their hairstyles as well to avoid complications, while others felt the concern was unnecessary since many had taken the exam before without such issues. A few also raised questions about whether items like piercings would be allowed.

Overall, the incident has stirred conversations online about exam rules and how far candidates are willing to go to ensure they don’t miss their opportunity.
