A students hostel at Kafin Hausa Science Secondary School in Jigawa state has been razed by fire.


Spokesman of the Nigerian Security and civil defence corps SC Adamu Shehu confirmed the incident to DAILY POST in Dutse.
He explained that the incident occurred on Monday 16-03-2020 at about 9:45 pm and engulfed a student dormitory called Madaki House which is accommodating over 100 students.
The fire started when most of the students were sleeping after the days activities.
He said the fire completely razed down the hostel and the properties of the students.
However, no casualties were recorded but properties worth millions of Naira were lost to the inferno.
He explained that the cause of fire is yet to be determined but that investigation was still ongoing to ascertain the cause of the fire.
