Bandits have finally released the twenty-eight students and two teachers of the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri in Kebbi state.

The victims who were abducted four months ago by gunmen who overpowered security men on guard at the school located in the remote community in Kebbi State, were released on Wednesday October 20, by a notorious bandit identified as Dogo Gide.
Though it was reported last week that the kidnap victims have been released, it was later gathered that they were not released as the mediators could not meet with the kingpin.
However on Sunday October 17, two students and two teachers were brought out from the forests and received by security personnel and medics stationed at Kotonkoro town.
Daily Trust reported that 28 students and two teachers have now been released and arrived Kotonkoro around 8:30pm on Wednesday.
