On Thursday, Kwara State Polytechnic expelled 29 students for cheating on exams.

According to the agency, the action was carried out after the academic committee’s report on the issue.
In a statement signed by Chief Assistant Registrar Ms. Opadiran Oluwakemi on behalf of Registrar Mr. Kolawole Sheye Akande, the affected students were ordered to leave the school immediately.
The statement partly reads:
“…Recall your participation and trial in the suspected exam fraud case, which is contrary to your oath of admission.
“Consequently, the Kwara State Polytechnic Governing Council considered the report of the Academic Board in respect of the case and approved your immediate expulsion from the Polytechnic.
“Your expulsion is in line with the provision in the reviewed student’s information and regulations handbook 2019.
“You, therefore, ceased to be a student of the Polytechnic and you should hand over all Polytechnic properties in your possession to your Head of Department or the appropriate Polytechnic authority”.
The polytechnic expelled four students last month and expelled six other students for similar crimes.
The agency listed the names of all affected students in the two cases and advised them to strictly observe Order to avoid litigation.
