Ron Lewis, Jr., a 37-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida, defied the odds by earning three degrees at a US university after facing academic struggles in his youth.
Growing up with low grades and feeling like a failure, Ron’s journey took a turn when, at the age of 22, he dropped out of college after earning straight F’s. Determined to turn his life around, he joined the United States Army and immersed himself in motivational speeches by Eric Thomas and Les Brown.
Inspired by the idea that success is achievable regardless of setbacks, Ron returned to college with renewed determination.
Enrolling at the University of Phoenix, he pursued his passion for business management, focusing on coursework that ignited his interest.
Despite starting on academic probation, Ron persevered and became the first in his family to earn a college degree after nine years of hard work.
Motivated by his own transformation, Ron became a motivational speaker, sharing his story with students across the country.
He emphasizes the importance of focusing on others and setting ambitious goals, encouraging students to believe in their potential regardless of their background or current struggles.
Now, on the verge of completing his Doctorate in Business Administration from the International University of Leadership, Ron’s journey serves as a testament to the power of resilience and determination. Alongside his role as a motivational speaker, he has also ventured into real estate and entrepreneurship.
In June 2024, Ron will walk across the stage to receive his doctoral degree, marking the culmination of a remarkable journey from dropout to doctorate.
His story is a reminder that failure is not the end but a stepping stone towards success, inspiring others to pursue their dreams against all odds.
