A Nigerian man, identified as Hamza’h Ahmed, has stirred reactions online after sharing his Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) result and asking if he could proceed directly to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
In the result he posted on Facebook, he scored 78 in English Language, 78 in Physics, 79 in Mathematics, and 77 in Chemistry, giving him a total of 312. Alongside the screenshot, he humorously asked, “Can I apply for NYSC direct?”
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board was established in 1978 under the administration of Olusegun Obasanjo to oversee entrance examinations into Nigerian tertiary institutions. The 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) began on April 16 and ended on April 25.
His post quickly attracted mixed reactions from users online. Some responded with sarcasm, joking that he could “apply to be president directly,” while others teased about unrealistic cut-off marks. A few, however, praised his impressive score and encouraged him to pursue scholarships or further education opportunities instead.
Overall, the post became a viral talking point, blending humor with admiration for his high UTME performance.
