They met in their first year, became friends, and eventually started dating a year later. Hylin shared their journey on social media, highlighting how their friendship grew into a partnership and eventually a family.
The couple’s love story is truly inspiring. Gerald mentioned that Hylin’s understanding nature, support, and caring personality won him over. Despite facing some opposition from their families, they remained committed to each other and their academic goals.
Interestingly, Hylin gave birth to their six-month-old daughter via caesarean section just two weeks before her exams. She showed remarkable strength, attending classes throughout her pregnancy and sitting for exams after the surgery. Another couple, Elvis Koech and his wife, also graduated together from Kenya Highlands University, celebrating their achievement with twins.
