A student from ABU, known as Mufid Sulaiman, breaks a 60 years record by setting a new record for the institution as he graduates with a final CGPA of 4.96 out of 5.00, the highest ever recorded in the history of ABU since its establishment in 1962.
He is a graduate of Agricultural science with matriculation number U16AG2026, surpassing the previous record of 4.94 out of 5.0 set by Nuhu Ibrahim.

Mufid obtained a National Diploma in Agricultural Technology from the Division of Agricultural Colleges (SCA/DAC) Samaru, where he emerged as the Overall Best Graduand from the year 2005 – 2015 with a CGPA of 3.69 out of the total 4.00 CGPA.
He also received an Honorary Credential from the Embassy of China and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, on 1st October 2017, due to his outstanding performance and overall CGPA of 5.00 as of then.
He also received an award of excellence for being a ‘First Class Student’ awarded by the Nigerian Association of agricultural students (NASS), ABU Zaria in 2018.
Moreover, Mufid has served several student associations from his college days up to the university level. At the University, he has conducted numerous tutorials in various courses for faculty of Agriculture students, from 100level to 500 level, and many other faculties.
Mufid Suleiman who is very religious, creative, and innovative yet very humble and easy-going has assisted many final year students in their research thesis, data analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of the result.

Recall that Nuhu Ibrahim became an internet sensation in 2019 when he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a final CGPA of 4.94 out of 5.00, Making him the best graduating student in the history of ABU since its establishment.
He was subsequently awarded a full scholarship by the Kaduna State government to study MSc Advanced Computer Science with Specialization in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Manchester.
As more results are coming, it is not clear if Mufid Sulaiman will be the best overall graduating student in the history of ABU Zaria.
