Read his story below:
” I write this with all of my heart.
“For 32 years now (since November 30, 1990, my mum came to Lagos), we have lived in one-room ‘face me I deck you’ in Orile Iganmu where my parents birthed all six of us.
“My mum hustle real hard to see us survive. My dad (of blessed memory) did his best, though late now. Poverty held us by our throats, I can’t forget one Chinedu whom we almost ruined with everyday garri and rice on credit (I hope I find him soon)
“I somehow was brilliant in school , I was always taking first position in primary and my mum would always buy turkey for me every night of the day we collect report card.
“Bruhhh that turkey dey ginger me to serious. She was always proud to attend ‘End of the Year Party’ because her son must collect prize.
“If you see me working hard and putting energy in my endeavors, my mum is my motivation, I need to change her life.
“I do everything possible to make her proud each time. When I won the State Honours Award in Kwara State (NYSC), she burst into tears amidst the crowd.
“Things were quite difficult growing up until another woman came into my life. This woman accepted me into their house. She is the one who sent me through University. That I am a graduate today, did NYSC, and now employed, all happened because of her. She calls me her son.
“She’s my second mum. Most of the virtues and principles I exhibit today, she taught me.
“Tomorrow is her birthday and I really want to gift her. She’s the type who isn’t about the size of the gift but the thoughtfulness in the kind of gift. Please your suggestions will help 🙏🏾 .”
@OfficialDanObe: “Same question in my mind. Anything is possible o. That picture is suspicious.. No boundary, why don’t he take that kind of picture with his mother? We are Afrikaans.Anyway I’m inspired.”
@Vindicated2275: “Why was the first story necessary? I know you love your mom but couldn’t you have tweeted the two stories separately and differently?.. It now sounds like you’re comparing the two women.”
@baberasaq: “I don’t understand all this story was just because you don’t know what to buy for your second mommy or what 💁what about your mother that nurtured the five of you she no try ni you did not ask about her own birthday gift oo you immediately switch the story down to you 2nd mom.”
@Godwilnotwhineu: “6 of you, Ina single room, yet the room looks this clean to the tiles, and your mum skin isn’t bad? To be honest I need to see Nd find another route to what gives me happiness and graciousness like some people, your mom is a leader.”
@theinvist20: “That God for that Chinedu, God used him to save your family in trying times. While growing up too we had people like that: mama Chidinma, garri boy, mama Chinedu and mama Ola and some names I can’t remember. 🥺I’m emotional typing this, women are stronger than you think.”
@truesonofman:”Have you changed your mom story ? Remember she deserves everything,I have same story and I’m glad my mom is reaping the fruit of her Labour now,for 11yrs now she hasn’t worked or pay rent or anything I and my siblings pay money into her acct every two weeks ,she travels anytime.”
@Mrtech_guy: “This is nice 👏, My story is similar just that my guardian stopped sponsoring me at the verge of completing my university education. I passed through a lot & this makes me stand strong 💪 to fight myself back to succeed. No Jobs, No Support for 4 yrs, thanks God I found TECH 👨💻.”
