The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has demanded the immediate dismissal of university and polytechnic heads implicated in the mismanagement of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), citing corruption, collusion, and harm to students, while urging swift government action and accountability.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called on both federal and state authorities to immediately sack Vice Chancellors, Rectors, and Provosts found guilty of mishandling the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
This demand follows allegations of widespread fraud within the student loan system, with claims that certain tertiary institutions have been inflating tuition fees, concealing loan disbursements, and colluding with banks for personal gain. NANS described the actions as a betrayal of government reforms and a direct attack on the educational aspirations of underprivileged students.
