Nasarawa Governor Nominates 28-Year-Old Law Graduate As Commissioner

The 28-year-old female barrister, Hannatu Bala Abimiku, has been nominated by the Nasarawa state governor as commissioner in the State.

The Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, nominated the 28-year-old law graduate who is from Abimiku (Lafia) and 14 others as members of the state executive council.

This was disclosed by Hon. Tanko Tunga, the Majority Leader of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly while presented the list of nominees before the assembly, on Thursday.

According to Hon. Tanko, the governor submitted the names of the nominees for confirmation as commissioners.

The female barrister who was among the nominees graduated from the Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) in 2016 from where he proceeded to the Nigerian law school before passing out in 2018.

The other nominees include, Hon. Yakubu Kwanta (Akwanga), who is currently the Special Adviser on Youths and Sports to the governor, Yusuf Aliyu Turaki (Awe), Aisha Rufai Ibrahim (Awe), Salihu Ena (Doma), Umar Mukailu Gurku (Karu) and Nuhu Oshafu (Keana).

More so, names like Idris Mohammed Idris (Keffi), Abdulkarim Kana(Kokona), Mohammed Sarki Tanimu(Lafia), Fati Jimeta Sabo(Nasarawa), Mohammed Yakubu Lawal (Nasarawa Eggon), Daniel Agye-Obi, Ahmed Baba Yahaya (Toto) and Lucky Isaac (Wamba) made the list of nomination.
