Cursory: Ogwo Grace, a brilliant lady who has bagged a Ph.D. in mathematics despite almost getting an F9 in her WASSCE, has ecstatically celebrated her achievement on Facebook. She is also reported to have bagged a first class in the same discipline during her BSc and Masters Degrees.

Grace Ogwo almost failed Mathematics in her West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and National Examination Council SSCE exams, after getting D7 and C6 in both exams, respectively.

Miss Grace didn’t stop there. Immediately after her one year of National Service, she went on to pursue her First Master’s Degree at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, where she graduated with a 72% Grade in the Mathematics department.

In 2019, again, she enrolled for another Master’s degree to still study Mathematics, this time at the University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa.

Yes, this time she graduated with 81% grade, earning her the highest distinction the University awards students.

Immediately after bagging her 2nd Master’s Degree in 2020, Grace, the goal-getter, again enrolled for her Ph.D., the highest Degree Qualification, and didn’t just graduate with grand style, she published 20 well-written papers.

The 27-year-old lady is now on her way to becoming a Professor.
