A Nigerian woman is celebrating her graduation from a U.S. university, having achieved a first-class degree despite not studying sciences in secondary school.

After completing her secondary education in Nigeria with a focus on commercial subjects, Jaydiran faced significant challenges, including the loss of her parents in 2022, which led her to take a break from her studies.

In a TikTok post, she shared her journey to earning a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Texas Southern University in the USA.

She reflected on her decision to switch from commercial to science subjects, acknowledging the delays and difficulties she encountered, particularly the passing of her parents.

Despite these obstacles, Jaydiran graduated with first-class honors and expressed joy in making her parents proud.
