Nigerian Man Overcomes Failing JAMB 3 Times Failures, Graduate with First-Class Degree in Biotechnology

After failing JAMB three times, Temitope Alabi graduated with a first-class degree in Biotechnology (CGPA 4.55) from FUTA, crediting his success to resilience, discipline, and guidance from others.

A determined Nigerian man, Temitope Alabi, has proven that perseverance leads to greatness by graduating with a first-class degree in Biotechnology (CGPA 4.55) from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) after failing the JAMB exam three times.

In a LinkedIn post, Temitope shared his struggles and triumphs, from writing JAMB four times to achieving a perfect 5.0 GPA twice during his studies. Initially, his goal was merely to avoid failure, but advice from senior colleagues and friends transformed his perspective. One such inspiration came from a schoolmate who advised him to aim for high GPAs consistently.

Motivated, Temitope developed self-discipline, resilience, and confidence. He maintained a GPA above 4.72 in his later years, crediting his success to setting clear goals and seeking guidance. Beyond academics, Temitope served as Class Governor for six years, refining his leadership skills while maintaining an active social life.

Reflecting on his journey, Temitope urged other scholars to understand their strengths, set goals, collaborate, and stay positive. Grateful for the support he received, he expressed excitement about future opportunities. “I’m looking forward to the next phase and the opportunities ahead,” he said.
