‘Only Time will Tell’ – A beautiful Poem from a UNN Student.

A poem by Charles Chimezirim, a Medical Student of University of Nigeria (UNN).
Only Time will Tell
My soul has never been at rest
My mind may never stand the test
What are the things I need to put first to live a happy life?
Only time will tell.
I’ve thought my whole life had been a mess
Until I came to know hope
And then it taught me what I learnt
What is it I could never let go?
Only time will tell.
What is sweeter to the mouth than honey?
What is of more value to man than money?
What kind of jokes do life find funny?
Only time will tell.
The sky is no longer blue
What should we expect, rain or dew?
My prediction may not be true
But one thing stands sure
Only time will tell.
Science says it’s impossible
Religion says with hope it’s possible
Let your passion never grow cold and feeble
Only time will tell.
The whole world may turn their backs on you
Leaving you behind without a clue
Dream big, work hard and stay true
Only time will tell.
It looks like it’s not making a headway
Men have criticized and called me all kinds of names
I can’t go back but will I win the race?
Only time will tell.
What is faith without hope?
What is snow without cold?
When will I find true love?
Now I’m young or when am old?
Only time will tell.
Time is money
In it is a hundred billion opportunities.
Time is nature
In it is the beginning and the end.
Don’t lose hope
Believe me
Only time will tell.
