The FCT Police Command has dismissed rumors of a planned terrorist attack at the University of Abuja, assuring the public that security measures are in place to protect residents and the campus.


The FCT Police Command has refuted claims of a terrorist plan to attack and kidnap students at the University of Abuja.
According to DAILY POST, rumors circulating on social media have caused unease on the university campus.
In a response, FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, labeled the reports as “groundless rumors spread by individuals intending to create unnecessary panic among FCT residents and the university community.”
The spokesperson emphasized the police’s dedication to protecting the lives and property of FCT residents, noting that sufficient personnel and resources have been deployed to ensure security, including at the University of Abuja.
