Two sisters, Confidence and Evidence Ufuoma, who entered the University of Lagos at the same time, have graduated together after six years with second-class upper honours in Botany and English, earning widespread praise for their dedication and resilience.


Two sisters, Confidence and Evidence Ufuoma, have graduated from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) at the same time, bagging second-class honours. Confidence holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany, while Evidence has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
The sisters, who enrolled in UNILAG six years ago, shared their convocation pictures on social media, with Confidence tweeting, “Finally, my convocation pictures landed! Confidence Bsc. Botany. Strong 2.1. Evidence B.A. English. Strong 2.1. Entered the university of Lagos same time, graduated same time”.
In an interview, Confidence revealed she wouldn’t advise her enemy to study Botany, citing challenges in the country. Their achievement has sparked congratulatory messages from netizens, with some praising their confidence and dedication.
The University of Lagos recently concluded its 56th convocation ceremony, awarding degrees to 16,506 students, including 617 with first-class honours and 4,543 with second-class upper division.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, emphasized the importance of adaptability and lifelong learning, urging graduates to face future challenges with courage and confidence.
