Chukwuma Soludo awarded a full scholarship from university to PhD level to Chiazo Umeaniba, an Anambra student who scored 344 in the 2026 UTME, in recognition of her outstanding academic performance.

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has awarded a full educational scholarship to Chiazo Umeaniba, a student of Maria Regina Model Comprehensive Secondary School, following her outstanding performance in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), where she scored 344.
The scholarship was announced during the first anniversary celebration of Solution Fun City in Awka. Umeaniba, who serves as the senior prefect of her school, had participated as one of the dancers entertaining guests before the governor was informed of her exceptional academic achievement.
Impressed by her performance and leadership qualities, Governor Soludo publicly pledged to sponsor her education from undergraduate studies through to a doctoral degree. He assured the student that all expenses throughout her academic journey would be covered, even after the end of his tenure in office.
The governor explained that he felt a personal connection to the student’s story, recalling that he had also served as a senior prefect during his school years and graduated from university with first-class honours. He expressed confidence that Umeaniba has the potential to achieve similar academic success and encouraged her to maintain her excellent performance.
The scholarship announcement formed part of the anniversary activities marking one year of Solution Fun City, a recreational facility established to promote tourism and attract investment to Anambra State. Soludo said the centre has continued to draw visitors and investors while additional infrastructure projects are underway to expand its facilities.
Expressing her appreciation, Umeaniba thanked the governor for the life-changing opportunity. The event also featured cultural performances and recreational activities, while state officials highlighted the growing popularity of Solution Fun City as a major attraction in Anambra.
