A 20-year-old SS3 student has been jailed in Abeokuta for threatening to kill his teacher.

On Thursday, the Abeokuta District Court sentenced a 20-year-old middle school student, Segun Dosumu, to three weeks in jail with hard labor for threatening to kill his teacher.
Dosumu, who lives in the Iboro area of Ogun, pleaded guilty when he read the charges against him.
Sotayo said that in addition to the confession, all the evidence provided in the court has unquestionably proved that the convict was guilty of the offence as charged.
The convict was therefore sentenced to three weeks in the correctional centre with hard labour, but with an option of N200,000 fine.
Dosumu, the Senior Secondary 3 student of Eyinni Comprehensive High School, had threatened to kill or injure Mr Ismail Fadeyi, his teacher, with a bottle.
The offence contravened Section 86 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun 2006.
