Vice President Kashim Shettima has commended MTN Nigeria for donating N1 billion to the Federal Government’s Food Support Programme and 4,600 digital devices to schools, highlighting the company’s commitment to Nigeria’s economic development and education.

Vice President Kashim Shettima has praised MTN Nigeria for donating N1 billion to the Federal Government’s Food Support Programme and providing 4,600 digital devices for schools. He highlighted MTN’s dedication to Nigeria’s economic development, commending the company for its stability and continued commitment to the country’s progress.

Speaking at the Presidential Villa on Friday, where he received MTN Nigeria’s Chairman, Mr. Ernest Ndukwe, Shettima expressed the government’s gratitude for MTN’s contributions, noting that the donation will be managed by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). He also mentioned that the distribution of the digital devices, pre-installed with the U-lesson application, will be coordinated with his office to ensure they reach secondary schools across Nigeria’s six geo-political zones.

Shettima emphasized that MTN’s support will significantly aid the government’s efforts to alleviate hardship and improve educational opportunities for the poor and vulnerable in the country. Mr. Ndukwe, in his remarks, commended the government’s initiatives to revive Nigeria’s economy.
