In a chat with ALLSCHOOL, Josephine’s niece said the brilliant student was raised by a widowed mother who is a retired Assistant Director in the Ministry of Education Lagos.

Josephine had taken her Facebook page to celebrate herself.

Her post reads:

I feel honoured to have won 3 awards which are; the vice chancellor prize for the overall best graduating student, best graduating student for Nursing science department and the deans prize for the best graduating student (Nursing Science) University of medical sciences,Ondo State (2020/2021) set. This honour is not for me alone, it’s for my wonderful family because without them, I am nothing.

I am returning all glory to God for giving me the grace and opportunity to come out with a First Class Honours degree with a CGPA of 4.83 (BNsc).

I am not stopping here I will double up my efforts. I will keep striving to do better and my next dream, by God’s grace, is to further my studies, hopefully abroad and someday become one of the few professors of Nursing in Africa.

Thanks to my angel mother and siblings – who ensured I never lacked anything. (Akinnawo Veronica, Shina Oludare , Akinnawo Oluwafemi T, Wande Akinnawo, Fatunmole Olubunmi Michael).

God bless Unimed!
God bless Ondo State!
God bless Nigeria!
