The University of Calabar has decried the volume of unclaimed certificates, even as it directs all those who have not collected their certificates after several years of graduation to do so immediately.

The directive as contained in a letter signed by the University Registrar, Mr.Gabriel Egbe and dated June 25 states that over forty thousand unclaimed certificates have been discovered in Faculties and Institutes.
According to the letter, Management is shocked by the development, just as it called on persons who are acquainted with these groups to inform them to come for collection.
The University Management, according to the letter, has given an ultimatum of three months from the date of this notice after which names of those who fail to claim their certificates will be published and surcharged accordingly.
