The authorities of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) have banned tinted and unregistered vehicles on campus. The management also banned learners drivers on campus.

The ban is coming days after a fatal auto crash that occurred last Monday on the main campus, claiming the lives of five persons, including students and staff of the institution.
The ban signed by the university’s management titled: “Tinted Vehicles, Unregistered Vehicles, and Learner Drivers.”
It said such vehicles would no longer be allowed on the campus of the University of Ilorin.
The management warned that violation of the policy will attract penalties as such vehicles will be impounded and the offenders prosecuted.
Confirming the ban, the Director of Corporate Affairs of the institution, Kunle Akogun said: “it is part of the measures put in place by management to ensure safety of lives of students and staff on the campus.”
