The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has expelled six students, rusticated six, and warned one for misconduct, following recommendations from the Students’ Disciplinary Committee.


The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has taken disciplinary action against 13 students for acts of misconduct. Six students have been expelled, six rusticated, and one warned.
The expelled students are Abdulhafeez Abdulhammed (Educational Technology), Esther Ajuma Matthew (Human Kinetics), Divine Tijesunimi Stanislous (Human Kinetics), Qozeem Abdulateef Mohammed (Centre for Open and Distance Learning), Sormidat Oluwatosin Lawal (Health Education), and Doris Comfort Falusi (History & International Studies). They must surrender their student identity cards and are prohibited from accessing the university campus, but can appeal the decision to the University Council through their deans.
The rusticated students are Idowu Oluwadamilola Owoade (Civil Engineering), Quayum Damilare Aderibigbe (Finance), Onimisi Abdulmajeed Aliyu (Quantity Survey), Emmanuel Olayeni (Water Resources), Sulton Abidemi Salman (Agriculture), and Faruq (Finance). They must keep off campus until the 2026/2027 Academic Session and provide written evidence of rehabilitation.
Isaac Chuks Okoh (Science Education) received a formal warning, cautioned to maintain good conduct, and must report to the Student Affairs Unit.
The university’s actions aim to maintain discipline and ensure a conducive academic environment.
