A Nigerian Graduate has Threatened her Alma mater with an N100million Lawsuit After the School Allegedly Used her Matric Number To Mobilise Another Student For Youth Service.

In the petition, the graduate also asked for 100 million naira as damages, on the grounds that her Matric number was negligently transferred to a third party for use in NYSC.
Ogunbamowo Damilola graduated from the University of Nigeria in Nsukka.
After discovering that her matriculation number was used to mobilize another student of the institution to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, she is preparing to sue the institution.
In a petition obtained by SaharaReporters, the student graduated from the Mathematics Education Department of Yaba College of Technology Satellite Campus, an affiliate of UNN, and completed her course in December 2018.
However, although her colleague was mobilized to NYSC in 2019, she did not receive similar treatment even though it was not carried forward at the time.
The petition initiated by the Yakubu Eleto Chamber of Commerce further stated that when she requested to be sent to NYSC, the school authorities told her that her Matric No; F/BS/14/3880001 was used by others in NYSC.
The Chamber of Commerce has since asked the agency to immediately deploy its customers to NYSC.
A petition signed by Yusuf Malik Bello, Assistant Director of Chambers, was sent to the registrar of the agency with the title “Immediate Mobilization of Ogunbamowo Damilola Abigail National Youth Service Company, a mathematics education graduate in 2018.”
