During the award presentation on Wednesday in her office, Comrade Charles Ijeomah, the NANS South-East Coordinator, praised Nnebedum for her unwavering dedication to student welfare. He described her as a role model and a mother figure who is always available to support students in their challenges.
“Our investigations have shown that Dr. Nnebedum is a compassionate leader who prioritizes student concerns and upholds fairness in her duties. This award is our way of appreciating her efforts and encouraging her to continue her good work,” he said.
Accompanied by other student executives and stakeholders, Ijeomah urged registrars in other institutions across the South-East to emulate Nnebedum’s student-centered leadership.
“This award was not given by chance. NANS has closely observed her commitment, and everyone who has worked with her speaks highly of her dedication and kindness towards students,” he added.
In response, Dr. Nnebedum expressed deep appreciation for the honor, stating that the recognition would motivate her to continue serving students and humanity.
“I am truly overwhelmed with joy. This award is priceless, and I lack the words to fully express my gratitude. It will only push me to do more,” she said.
She emphasized that her role as a registrar is a divine responsibility, and she is committed to using her position to make a positive impact.
“As a mother, I see all students as my children. I strongly believe in the biblical principle that what you sow, you shall reap,” she added.
