The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made a significant announcement, revealing the delisting of 25 computer-based test (CBT) centres from its roster. This decision, disclosed in a document obtained by Legit.ng on Wednesday, April 17, follows the conduct of the 2024 mock examination held on Thursday, March 7.
JAMB clarified that the action was taken to uphold strict adherence to regulatory standards among its partners. It was prompted by the non-compliance of the affected centres with the prescribed procedures and the challenges faced by candidates assigned to these centres during the 2024 mock-UTME in March.
The list of the impacted centres spans across 16 states of the federation and the Nigerian capital, Abuja. Notably, four centres in Lagos, two in Kaduna, and two in Anambra states were delisted. Additionally, Edo, Imo, and Osun have two affected centres each, while Benue, Delta, Plateau, Kwara, and Zamfara each have one centre on the list.
In Lagos, the affected centres include Ola Unity Children’s School, Tapa street, Ebutte metta; Command Secondary School CBT Centre Ipaja, Command bus-stop, Ajasa; Command Day Secondary School, Ojo cantonment, Ojo; and the Laurelhall schools CBT Centre, Laurelhall Schools Avenue, Ladegboye road, Imowo Kekere, Off Ijedee road, Ikorodu.
Meanwhile, in Kaduna state, the impacted centres are Beijing International School Kaduna, Kowa new extension, and Ateko Digital Technology, Kaduna South. In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lincoln College of Science Management and Technology, Abuja, was also affected by the delisting.
