A young girl was reportedly raped and thrown from a moving car in Nkpor, Anambra State, leaving her unconscious and hospitalized, as Nigerians rally online to identify her and support her recovery.

A tragic and disturbing incident has emerged from Nkpor, Anambra State, where a young schoolgirl was reportedly pushed out of a moving vehicle. The case has gone viral on social media, prompting widespread calls for assistance and identification.
The news was first shared by a concerned Nigerian woman on X (formerly Twitter), known as @qUeenofTheTown7, who reported finding the girl in distress. According to her, witnesses saw the child being thrown from a moving car in the New Parts area of Nkpor. She was found on the roadside—bleeding, crying, and severely traumatized.
“She was raped and is still unconscious,” the woman shared. “Before she passed out, she managed to say she lives in Odonla, Ikorodu, Lagos.“
Due to fear of being wrongly implicated, onlookers initially hesitated to offer help. Eventually, a courageous woman intervened and removed the child from danger, seeking assistance from nearby security personnel.
The girl was taken to a hospital where she is now receiving medical care. A man who helped with the rescue recounted:
“I saw a crowd surrounding the child—she was crying and bleeding. No one wanted to get involved. I contacted the local vigilante group, and we got her admitted to a hospital.“
He remained at her side overnight and provided basic items, including clothing and toiletries, for her recovery.

Appeal for Help
The woman behind the post is now calling on the public—especially residents of Ikorodu, Lagos—to help identify the girl. She plans to release images of the girl’s school uniform (with her face hidden) in the hope that someone will recognize it.
“This is heartbreaking. All we want is for her to survive and recover,” she wrote.
Online Reactions
The story has drawn an outpouring of support, concern, and speculation on social media. Here are some notable comments:
- @Jhaycross158463: “They should call a pastor… this might be spiritual. Hospital treatment may not be enough.“
- @Sexifiedbygrace: “No secondary school in that area uses this exact uniform. One similar has the Lagos flag below the top.“
- @DanielJeff63: “Nkpor again… these things keep happening. May God help her recover.“
- @Pedo_pharma: “That uniform looks like the one from HRC. The school is likely in Uwani, Enugu or Nsugbe, Anambra. I attended it.“
- @CEmeka73773: “The Lagos State Ministry of Education could assist. They should be tagged.“
What You Can Do
The girl remains hospitalized, and both financial and emotional support are urgently needed. Anyone who recognizes the uniform or has information that could help identify her or her family is encouraged to come forward.
