Federal University Wukari,Taraba held its 2nd ,3rd,4th and 5th combined Convacation on Saturday and a total of 104 out of 3,879 awarded with First-Class degree honour from the University.


The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jude Rabo, said the 104 students have distinguished themselves both in terms of quality and performance.
Rabo urged the graduates to remain good ambassadors of the university.
According to him, the institution was committed to generating knowledge for research and development, and would continue to create visibility for the university and its academic staff across the world.
He said, “We are determined to transform our institution into a place of choice for teaching, learning, research and community service.
“As a university, we recognise the importance of linkages and partnerships towards deepening the experience of the students and enhancing quality higher education.
“To this end, we have developed partnerships with diverse organisations across the globe for the good of the university and the students.
“The federal government should support our ambitious drive for Nigeria’s development. Already we have partnered with Innoson Motors in Nnewi in Anambra state and we are developing partnerships with a number of institutions to fast track development and research.”
Earlier, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, charged the graduates to embark on ventures that would fast track the country’s development.
