Cursory: Luck has smiled on Gabriel Afolabi, a UNILAG Student after he got the opportunity to pursue his lifelong dream. The event which is centered on a three-point agenda of entrepreneurship, show business, and talent development, centered on helping upcoming artist to meet talented seniors in the industry. The young man was selected after his beautiful baritone voice appealed to the organizers who picked him on the spot as a voice actor.

A 23-year-old student from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) named Gabriel Afolabi recently had his lifelong dream come true at a concert and entertainment conference hosted at Terra Kulture on Lagos Island. The event was held to celebrate the premiere of the Stars and Legends reality TV show, which aims to empower young talents in music, dance, comedy, and modeling from across the continent.
Gabriel, an English Language student from Ogun State, has always wanted to become a voice actor. At the event, he asked the organizers how he could fulfill his ambition, and they gave him a straightforward task. When Gabriel stunned the crowd with his beautiful baritone voice, the organizers immediately hired him to write the reality show’s theme song. He was overjoyed and couldn’t contain his excitement, saying, “I’m overjoyed to be here today. It’s an honor.”
But that’s not all! The event featured performances from seasoned musicians like Asha Gangali and a consultant psychiatrist named Dolajumoke Kayejo, as well as up-and-coming artists like Ceemax, Piper, Stephanie Weaver, and Mej-Dei Khae. Music experts and industry leaders were also present to guide the young musicians through the music and entrepreneurial industries. They included Guy Murray-Bruce, president of Silverbird, Sarah Boulos, founder and chairperson of SPAN, the performing arts organization in Nigeria, Dr. Sheyi Kehnny, associate professor of music and associate dean of the faculty of arts at the University of Lagos, and Zaaki Azzay, a talented musician.
The Stars and Legends reality TV show is a project of Samuel Peterson’s company Lukrush Records, along with Rebellion Obsession Fashion and Baroque Works Studios. It’s centered on a three-point agenda of entrepreneurship, show business, and talent development, and promises to introduce young talents to international entertainment gurus who will help them become household names. The program will begin pre-production in May or June of this year, according to Peterson.
So there you have it! Gabriel Afolabi stole the show at the Stars and Legends event and became an instant celebrity. We can’t wait to see what he and the other talented young artists will accomplish in the future.
