Prodigy Alert: 19-Year-Old Amara Leggett Graduates with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

Amara Leggett, a 19-year-old computer science graduate, earned an associate degree at 16 and a bachelor’s degree at 19, inspiring others with her academic excellence and determination.

Amara Leggett, a phenomenal young woman, has achieved what many can only dream of – earning an associate degree at 16 and a bachelor’s degree at just 19 years old. Her remarkable journey is a testament to her academic prowess, discipline, and determination.

Amara’s story began in 2017 when she graduated from New Albany High School with her high school diploma and an Associate of Science degree from Columbus State Community College. She leveraged Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) dual-enrollment program to take college-level courses, saving time and money. “She sets her eyes on something, and she keeps going,” said her mother, Nadia Leggett.

Amara’s academic excellence earned her a spot at Saint Leo University, where she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. She graduated in 2020, at just 19 years old, and has since become a role model for young students. “I liked college more than I liked high school,” she said, adding that she found a supportive environment at Columbus State College.

Now, Amara serves as the CEO of A Young Legend and The Dual Enrollment Co., helping students graduate early and debt-free. She believes in collective progress and wants to inspire others to achieve their goals. “A lot of the time, we discover there are people who have achieved the same thing we want,” she said.

Amara’s achievements have inspired many, and her story serves as a reminder that age is just a number. With her passion for technology and education, she’s sure to make a significant impact in the world.
