Twin sisters, Dr. Khanyisile and Dr. Ziyanda Ndebele, have achieved an inspiring academic milestone after earning an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the Foundation for Professional Development (FPD) in Pretoria, South Africa, while successfully running their own clinic.
The Ndebele Twins’ Journey
Their path has been defined by hard work, resilience, and passion for medical excellence. In 2022, they both graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with an Honours Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, officially beginning their medical careers. Soon after, they established Health Life Aesthetics, a clinic committed to blending clinical expertise with preventive and aesthetic medicine.
Motivated by a desire to offer ethical and evidence-based care, the sisters pursued further education at FPD in 2023 to deepen their knowledge of aesthetic and integrative medicine. After two years of balancing studies with their entrepreneurial duties, they celebrated their graduation in 2025 — a testament to their dedication and discipline.
On LinkedIn, they shared their experience, describing the challenges of juggling clinic work, business management, and part-time studies. Despite long nights and constant sacrifices, they credited the journey for teaching them perseverance, discipline, and the importance of lifelong learning.
Their diploma strengthened their understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and research methods while emphasizing business ethics and medical regulations. The sisters explained that it helped them move beyond technical skill to a deeper scientific understanding of aesthetic procedures.
For the Ndebele twins, continuing education wasn’t just about career growth — it was about patient safety, scientific integrity, and personal development. They expressed gratitude for the experience, saying every sacrifice was worthwhile.
“We have zero regrets about the time, money, and effort it took. It has transformed our practice and deepened our passion for this field,” they said.
Encouraging others, they added:
“Never stop being a student. The best investment you can make is in your knowledge — it ensures your patients’ safety and your business’s future.”
