Brèanna Rachelle Foreman, a 28-year-old woman, made history in her family by earning a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Mississippi in 2022, an accomplishment she proudly shared on Instagram, saying, “I prayed for it, worked for it, and waited for it.”
Her academic journey began at Old Dominion University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with double minors in Health & Wellness and Exercise Science. Now eager to launch her public health career, Rachelle reflected on the importance of persistence, sharing, “Rome wasn’t built in a day. Neither were you. Build the life you want.”
She also urged others to overcome imposter syndrome, especially first-generation graduates like herself, encouraging them to advocate for themselves in unfamiliar spaces. Grateful for the support of family and friends, Rachelle is ready to make a lasting impact in public health.
