In response, the institution issued a suspension letter on Friday, signed by the Director of the Technical and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (TEDC), Dr. Okoye P.C. The letter, which was copied to the Rector, the Dean of Student Affairs, and the Student Union Government, announced that the lecturer had been suspended pending an investigation.
The letter, referenced FPN/TEDC/80/1 and dated March 14, 2025, stated:
“You are hereby suspended from duty as a facilitator in the Technical and Entrepreneurship Development Centre pending the outcome of an investigation into the incident that occurred on March 13, 2025, at the site of your entrepreneurship training.”
Meanwhile, Ifeanyichukwu has issued an apology letter to the student, expressing deep regret over his actions. In his letter, he acknowledged his misconduct, stating that his behavior was unprofessional and had caused the student distress.
“I take full responsibility for my actions and sincerely apologize for the pain I caused. As a teacher, I should have provided a safe and supportive learning environment instead of intimidating you. I am committed to changing my behavior and ensuring such incidents never happen again,” he wrote.
He further extended an offer to meet with the student to discuss how he could make amends.
