The six junior secondary school students who the President’s School Debate have had a nice moment with the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.


The students didn’t just sit and dine with the governor, they also went home with a scholarship award and a cash prize of N500,000 each.
Speaking while hosting the students in his office in Ilorin, Abdulrazaq assured that the scholarship awarded to the students would be continued by his successor.
The six-students in the Kwara debating team comprises Ajenifuja Sheu (Ilorin Grammar School JSS); Dunmoye Sheriffdeen (Offa Grammar School JSS); Adisa Jaji (Government Girls Day JSS Pakata); Mohammed Halimat (United Community Junior Secondary School Ilorin); Agboola Amdalat (Zango Okesuna, JSS Pake); and Apaokagi Ahmad (Government Girls Day JSS Pakata).
The governor also gave N1m to each of the teachers of the students, a gesture he hopes would spur other students to study harder and be good ambassadors of the state.
