A lady has reportedly left her longtime boyfriend shocked after telling him to calculate all the money he spent supporting her education and career so she could pay him back.
The story was shared online by a woman who said the man is her colleague. According to her, the man had supported his girlfriend for several years after she completed her OND.
He reportedly took responsibility for her university education, paying her school fees, providing upkeep, and supporting her through the challenges of school life. His support didn’t end there, as he also stood by her during her NYSC year.
After she finished NYSC, the man allegedly used his connections to help her secure a banking job, giving her the opportunity to begin a stable career.
For years, everything seemed to be going well in the relationship. However, the man later noticed a change in her behaviour. She began returning home late almost every day.
Whenever he asked where she had been, she usually gave short responses such as “work,” “office matters,” or “nothing serious.”
One evening, she reportedly came home around 9 p.m., and when he asked where she was coming from, she reacted angrily.
According to the story, she accused him of stressing her life and questioned why she couldn’t have her freedom.
She then made a statement that left the man stunned.
The lady reportedly told him that if he believed he had control over her because he helped her get the job or supported her through school, he should calculate everything he had spent on her so she could pay him back.
The man said he was shocked by the comment and has struggled to process what happened since that conversation.
