A team from ABU, Zaria has achieved second place in the recently concluded Nigerian Universities Nursing Students’ Association (NUNSA) National Malaria Mini Research Competition.


A team from Ahmadu Bello University achieved second place in the Nigerian Universities Nursing Students’ Association (NUNSA) National Malaria Mini Research Competition.
This event was organized in collaboration with the Youth Health Action Network (YOHAN) Africa. Remarkably, the team managed this success while also preparing for their semester examinations.
The team members attributed their success to “audacity, collaboration, and mentorship,” with significant guidance from mentors Nr. Japhet Jonah and Nr. Markus Zirahgi Reuben. Their mentorship was instrumental in helping the students excel despite their demanding schedules.
The team also expressed their gratitude to YOHAN and the NUNSA National Executives, particularly the 28th Vice President, Nr. Chikamso Chibieze, for organizing the competition. They hope this accomplishment will lead to further successes for NUNSA National and the nursing profession.
This recognition underscores the dedication and hard work of young nursing students and their mentors, highlighting their commitment to advancing healthcare research and education.
