The College of Nursing Sciences, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH), Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for suitably qualified candidates into the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
This announcement was made by the office of the Registrar, calling on interested candidates who aspire to build a rewarding career in the field of Nursing Sciences to take advantage of this opportunity to enroll in one of Nigeria’s foremost health training institutions.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for admission into the ND/HND Nursing programmes, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Candidates must have participated in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 170.
- Prospective students must possess credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects — English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics — obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, or NECO examinations.
- Candidates who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply promptly to avoid missing the application deadline.
The College emphasizes that Nursing is a demanding and highly respected profession, and applicants should be ready to demonstrate academic excellence, discipline, and a passion for health care service.
How to Apply for University of Uyo Teaching Hospital ND/HND Nursing Admission Form
Interested and qualified candidates are required to obtain the application form after the payment of a non-refundable application fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (₦30,000) only. The payment should be made directly to the Bursary Department of the College of Nursing Sciences, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
Upon obtaining the application form, candidates must present the following documents at the point of registration:
- Three (3) recent coloured passport photographs.
- Photocopies of all relevant academic credentials.
- A printed copy of the JAMB result slip showing the candidate’s UTME score.
The collection and submission of application forms will commence on Monday, 3rd November, 2025, and close on Friday, 14th November, 2025. Applicants are strongly advised to complete their registration within this period, as late submission will not be entertained.
Post-UTME Screening Exercise
The management of the College has scheduled the Post-UTME Screening Examination to hold on Monday, 17th November, 2025, at the College Auditorium, located within the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital premises, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
During the screening exercise, candidates will be required to present the following:
- Proof of payment for the application form.
- A copy of the registration slip.
- JAMB printout as evidence of UTME participation.
All applicants are encouraged to arrive early at the venue, neatly dressed, and prepared for the screening. The College has also emphasized that no electronic gadgets or unauthorized materials will be allowed into the examination hall.
