Family Converts School Bus to a Flat, Installs Kitchen Cabinet, Beds, Now Looks Like “Palace” (Video)

Cursory: A woman has gone online to share how her family spent N2m to get an abandoned bus and converted it into a flat. The woman said that they spent over $20,000 (N8,932,600) converting the bus to a habitable space for the family.

To save money, a family, @roamwithbus, decided to buy an old school bus and convert the vehicle into their home. It took them many hours to see it to completion. After paying $4,500 (N2,009,835) for the vehicle, they got to work. The mother in the family stated they spent $1,250 (N558,287.50) on outside materials like paints.

For lumbers and counters, they paid $3,732 (N1,666,823.16). Electrical and appliances gulped $8,106 (N3,620,382.78). They had to part away with $1,342 (N599,377.46) for plumbing work.

To make the interior of the bus cool, they spent $2,125 (N949,088.75), bringing their total conversion cost to $21,055 (N9,403,794.65). The woman said that it is cheap, considering that they spent $22,500 (N10,049,175) a year on rent.

Sharing the video on TikTok, she wrote: “The number one question we have been asked about skoolie life is ‘how much does it cost to convert a bus”. Heres the thing you should know. Every bus build is different. You can spend as much or as little time and money as you want. The great thing about building a home from scratch is that the amount you invest is entirely up to you. Bus: $4500 Outside materials: $1250 Lumber/ counters: $3732 Electrical/ appliances: $8106 Plumbing: $1342 Interior materials: $2125 Having a Home on Wheels… PRICELESS (k, I couldn’t help myself) GRAND TOTAL: $21,055

Wowdy dowdy how this space has changed. This time of year always has me feeling nostalgic on past goals (i.e. converting a bus into a home, living the bus life) and looking towards setting new goals. What big goals do you have heading into 2023? #tinyhomeliving #buslife #busconversion #skoolieconversion #vanlife #diy #transition #beforeandafter #fyp #skoolielove
